Join us for the 5th Annual When Pigs Fly Fundraiser benefiting the North Iowa Children’s Museum on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Plain Ol’ Pumpkins in Clear Lake.
This one-of-a-kind community tradition combines airplanes, pigs, pumpkins, and plenty of laughter, all while helping build a permanent children’s museum for North Iowa.

There are three fun ways to participate and every dollar supports the North Iowa Children’s Museum!
Buy Foam Pig Entries
Purchase one or more numbered foam pigs for the famous When Pigs Fly Pig Drop. The more pigs you purchase, the more you save!
Every foam pig is a separate chance to win.
Want to support a celebrity?
During checkout, you can choose your favorite Celebrity Kiss-a-Pig contestant. The full value of your Pig Drop purchase will be credited toward that celebrity’s fundraising total at no additional cost.
Vote in the Celebrity Kiss-a-Pig Contest
Don’t want to purchase Pig Drop entries? You can still support your favorite celebrity by making a donation.
Every dollar donated counts as a vote, and the celebrity raising the most money will kiss the pig immediately following the Pig Drop.

- You do not need to be present to win.
- Admission to Plain Ol' Pumpkins on September 26 is included with every Foam Pig Ticket purchase.
- In the event of severe weather, the Pig Drop will be rescheduled for a date in October.
What Happens on Event Day?
9:00 a.m: Doors open! Enjoy Plain Ol’ Pumpkins and all the fall fun.
10:00 a.m: The Pig Drop! Hundreds of numbered foam pigs will be dropped from an airplane onto a giant target.
The three pigs landing closest to the center win amazing prizes!
Grand Prize: A collection of gift cards to North Iowa businesses valued at more than $500!
Immediately following the Pig Drop: Join us at the Children’s Museum trailer, the winning celebrity will Kiss the Pig!
Then stick around for the Piglet Pucker Station!
For a $20 donation, anyone can kiss the piglet or purchase a piglet kiss for a friend or family member.
Participation is always voluntary, but the laughs are guaranteed!

The North Iowa Children’s Museum is creating a permanent destination where children can explore, imagine, discover, and learn through hands-on exhibits and interactive play. Since launching mobile exhibits and pop-up experiences in 2022, we have already served more than 35,000 children and families across North Iowa.
Today, we are building momentum toward a permanent children’s museum that will welcome approximately 53,000 visitors each year and inspire generations of curious young minds.
100% of proceeds from Foam Pig Ticket sales, Celebrity Kiss-a-Pig voting, and Piglet Pucker Station donations directly benefit the North Iowa Children’s Museum.
